由曹丁指挥上海交响乐团和上海爱乐合唱团演录的《黄河大合唱》，代表了国内高水平的演绎，而第十届柴科夫斯基国际声乐比赛的金奖获得者、著名男中音歌唱家袁晨野以及女高音歌唱家余佩敏的加入，更使整个演录增色不少。 <br>

专辑同时收录了由钢琴伴奏的冼星海抗战歌曲《救国军歌》、《游击军》、《在太行山上》、《到敌人后方去》、《追悼歌》。 <br>
